buddy. was born and raised in New Orleans, LA where they attended the New Orleans Creative Arts for high school, and as soon as she turned 18 began working in a tattoo shop.
After packing up their bags and narrowly missing Hurricane Katrina, she moved to Sarasota, FL and attended the Ringling School of Art and Design majoring in Illustration.
After which, spent some time traveling with artwork for themed gallery showcases.
Her work is primarily done with mixed media on broken skate board decks.
For almost 10 years now, buddy. has been residing in Chicago, and giving all of her attention to tattooing.
In their down time buddy. is a co-founder of Broad Squad.- a collective of femme identifying, trans & non-binary tattooers who throw an art show for charity every March.
Specializing in illustrated black work, buddy. is inspired by botanical pieces and darker, eerie imagery, especially when she’s able to combine the two.
She collects teeth, fortune cookie fortunes, and despises cilantro.
