The Benefits of Laser Removal in Cover Up Tattoos- By Heath Rave

Here is an example of what can be done in the realm of
cover-ups when the previous tattoo has been lightened with laser
removal treatment. Having the ability to not be hindered by a super
dark, old tattoo, especially the lines, will make for a much more
successful cover up, as you can see. Also, you can never go wrong with
flowers in this situation. Cover-ups require dense subject matter, and
this is a great example of a successful cover-up by Heath Rave.

You can contact Heath for a tattoo appointment by emailing heathrave@gmail.com or calling the shop at 773.645.1703

Born Again Tattoos: Cover-Ups by Patrick Cornolo

People come to me for a lot of cover-up work. I am working on putting together a cover-up gallery for my website www.patrickcornolo.com.  Here is a sneak peek.

Cover-ups in general are hard, some are harder than others, this one was especially challenging but I think it came out pretty nice.

Boy/Bear Tattoo by Sean Adams

“This tattoo is based on a Kiowa story explaining the creation of Bear Butte and the Pleiades constellation.  In the story, a boy is chasing his 7 sisters pretending to be a bear when he is suddenly transformed into one.  The bear chases the seven sisters onto a stump, which grew higher and higher, lifting them into the sky.  The scoring on the sides of the land formation are explained by the bears claws as he tried to reach the girls.  The story was really interesting and it was a lot of fun to depict the bear and boy’s characters!”

Rook Half Sleeve by Heath Rave

This is a half-sleeve based on the card game Rook. As far as the rules
and details, well, you got me, but I know this much. It requires 4
players, hence the the 3 extra birds on the branches. Also in the game
you can “shoot the moon”, so we threw a big ‘ol moon up in the sky
and apparently you pull the cards from a “nest”, and the 1 is actually
what the 1 card looks like in the game. Great story and fun tattoo.

Check out more of Heath Rave’s work on the Heath Rave tab on our website or check out his personal website www.heathrave.com .  You can email Heath about appointments at heathrave@gmail.com or call the shop 773.645.1703
